Who we are

We’re cyclists!  We’re looking to ride in new and challenging places with other cyclists. The coaching program is really just a selfish endeavor to make that happen - good cyclists make for good rides. It really is that simple.

What makes us different

Critical thinking - questioning everything.  Every other coaching program starts with the bold assumption that people know how to pedal a bike. We will test that. If you fail you’ll be in good company, over 90% of the people I’ve tested use motor skills learned from walking. On the bright side, there’s room for improvement!

Other coaching programs use a logical fallacy to bring people in. They claim to somehow be responsible for the performance of top athletes. From this people conclude that they too can be one of the top athletes.  Probably not. What puts individuals into the top .001% isn’t something we can teach. We can bring an individual up to their potential as a rider, which is often higher than expected.

We explain everything in terms you will understand. “Just do it” works as an advertising slogan or to end procrastination, but it’s not an explanation of why.  Understanding a program allows an individual to make decisions in their own self interest. We’re not selling you the secret training methods of the pros, we’re giving you the knowledge to train safely and intelligently.

We test things.  The scientific process shouldn’t be ignored in cycling. There will always be debate about which methods are better. Testing and observation give better answers than opinion or doing what the pros do.  The learning process is another one of those things we can’t ignore.  Other programs suggest that riders can do things just by trying to do them. Has that ever worked?
